Google has just launched App Runtime for Chrome or ARC Welder for Pc and Mac. Previously, ARC launched as a limited beta but has now been made available to the public allowing you to easily run any Android apps on both Windows (PC) or Linux (This also includes Mac OSX based systems)
- This is the most useful app I have found in the App Store for welding. I do a lot of stick and TIG welding. With stick welding this app gives you the correct settings to use on a particular electrode. You just select the type of metal welding to, the type of electrode and size used, then you get all kinds of information on how to weld with that.
- ARC Welder is an extension for Chrome that allows you to run them directly from your navigator using APK files, which is the easiest way possible. Once the extension is installed, you need to select a folder where all the temporary files generated by the application will be stored. After that, you can select the application you want to run.

A hassle-free Android emulator. ARC Welder is an abbreviation for App Runtime for Chrome. This easy-to-use Android emulator lets you use the functions of your smartphone on the PC without much hassle. Since the application has a steep learning curve, it’s mostly preferred by IT professionals and experienced users for bench-testing Android apps.
While the software is originally created for developers, users can install any apps by getting the app .apk file (from websites like AppAPK and install them. This includes both normal apps, games etc. ARC is based on Android 4.4, meaning a lot of standalone apps are immediately compatible. - Make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome Version 40+
- You can check this by going to Settings > About Google Chrome
- If its not the case, you can upgrade to the latest version here
- From any app you want to get you need the .apk file which you can get here
